Hello,

This week the main topic is ‘‘Simplifying your Life’!

‘Stress Relief: Relax, Unplug, Let It Be’ indicates that a letting go is required, becoming simple again after the effort and stop trying to work things out. Not always that simple, my God do I know!
Especially if some issues are not resolved and we have to let them be, I sympathise deeply!

We also have, this week, another article reminding us how exercise is good for our overall health, a good reminder! We are more than our brain and head! We have the rest of our body too!

And in order to learn to be more relaxed even though we are standing and in movement, I am introducing a gift from me: a ‘Standing Chi Kung’ giving the body a standing position while relaxing!
Unusual I know, but very useful.
Enjoy!
Let’s get to the news of this week…

In this article Mark Goulston writes what a lecturer, an unknown source, when explaining stress management to an audience, raised a glass of water and asked, "How heavy is this glass of water?". He then carried on to give as an illustration of ‘letting things be’ for our very own benefit.
It’s very good to read and read again!
He writes:
So, before you return home tonight, put the burden of work down. Don't carry it home. You can pick it up tomorrow. Whatever burdens you're carrying now, let them down for a moment if you can.

So, my friend, why not take a while to just simply relax.

Put down anything that may be a burden to you right now. Don't pick it up again until after you've rested a while.
Life is short -- enjoy it! Here are some great ways of dealing with the burdens of life:

Exercise: Rev up your routine to reduce stress
*******************************************************
By Mayo Clinic Staff:
How does exercise reduce stress?

I so much agree, as you may know by now, that exercise reduces and can cure stress. How to get started, motivation to keep going and realising that exercise means less stress is very much part of the coaching I did with people for 10 years and which I do online these days. Simple exercises, but not just active exercises, all different processes for transforming stress into well-being! Anyhow…

‘Exercise increases your overall health and your sense of well-being, which puts more pep in your steps every day. But exercise also has some direct stress-busting benefits.’

Use Stress as a Positive Force

Dr. Don Colbert, M.D.

Another interesting ‘take’ on stress, compared to stress being music played on a musical instrument and how loose or tight that instrument’s strings are set to; useful to help us view it from another angle, and it’s about the relaxation response too:

“Stress is the pressures of life and how one perceives, believes, reacts, and copes with these pressures.
” Dr. Don Colbert, M. D. By definition, then, stress is not always a negative force. It can be positive, negative, chronic or acute. By illustration, stress can be compared to music played on the strings of a violin. If the strings are too loose, the sound is low and unclear; if the strings are too tight, the sound is high and irritating, but if the strings are set just right, the sound produced is pleasing and beautiful.
